Day 1: Arrival at the largest airport in Rwanda - Kigali Airport - International
When you land at Kigali International Airport, a friendly Amahoro guide will meet you and escort you to your hotel in the city. After checking in, you can relax and unwind for the evening, with a complimentary breakfast provided to prepare you for the adventures ahead.

DAY 2: INTER-CULTURAL KIGALI TOUR
Start your day with a delicious breakfast before heading to the Nyamirambo Women’s Center for a vibrant walking tour. The journey begins with a traditional snack, a brief Kinyarwanda language lesson, and an introduction to the Women’s Center and its community-focused work. As you explore Nyamirambo, one of Kigali’s oldest districts, you'll visit a women’s hair salon for a chance to try a braid, join a local family to pound cassava leaves, see two mosques and a scenic viewpoint, and step inside a tailor shop to touch fabrics seen around the city. The adventure wraps up with a traditional meal, prepared and served by Aminatha, a local culinary expert, who will guide you through each step of the cooking process. After gathering fresh ingredients from local markets, we make our way to Aminatha’s house, just a short walk from the center. In her courtyard, you’ll sit at a wooden table, preparing vegetables and starting the charcoal stoves. Guided by Aminatha, you’ll create six mouthwatering traditional dishes, all of which will be savored together at the end of the cooking session. Further on we drive to Kimironko market to shop for a kitenge fabric; an attire associated with the African culture and can be worn in different ways. It can be worn as a dress, skirt or just as a headscarf and skilled artist as well make earings from them. Most Africans choose to wear them during special occasions and cultural events as it has been known to be a part of African tradition. Drive back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: TAKE OFF FOR THE GREAT NATIONAL PARK - AKAGERA
After breakfast, we journey to Akagera National Park, situated along Rwanda’s eastern border. The landscape transitions from rolling hills to the expansive savannas of the Great Rift Valley, filled with lakes, wetlands, and rich wildlife that is unique to this region. Upon arriving at the lodge before lunch, we will enjoy a meal and then set off for an afternoon boat tour on Lake Ihema, where you can witness an abundance of hippos, Nile crocodiles, and a variety of bird species. This park offers an unforgettable experience for nature lovers and bird enthusiasts alike. Afterward, we return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 4: AKAGERA NATIONAL PARK
After enjoying breakfast, depart the lodge around 07:00 hrs for a full-day safari adventure, beginning with a stop at the scenic Giraffe Valley. Akagera National Park features a mix of savannah, woodlands, wetlands, and rolling hills, providing a rich habitat for wildlife such as giraffes, zebras, elephants, lions, and a wide array of bird species, including the elusive shoebill stork. In the park’s southern region, the expansive Lake Ihema is teeming with hippos and crocodiles. By late afternoon, return to your hotel around 16:00 hrs for some free time, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 5 : DEPART FOR RUHENGERI
Following breakfast, set out on a scenic three-hour drive toward Kigali, timing your arrival to enjoy lunch in the city. Continue onward to the Ruhengeri region, Rwanda’s second-largest town, nestled beneath the dramatic slopes of the five Virunga volcanoes. Upon reaching your hotel, check in and spend the late afternoon relaxing at your leisure, followed by dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 6: GOLDEN MONKEYS TREK + IBY’IWACU VILLAGE VISIT
Today is dedicated to an unforgettable Golden Monkey tracking experience in Volcanoes National Park. Winding through thick bamboo groves and open clearings, you will arrive in the natural habitat of these remarkable primates. Guided by experts, you’ll observe the ‘habituated’ golden monkeys, who have grown comfortable with human visitors. Although the viewing time is limited to one hour, this offers an exceptional chance to see these lively monkeys as they frolic, feed on bamboo, leap between branches, and interact with their young in a natural setting. Later visit Iby’iwacu Cultural Village a Non-Profit umbrella organization that aims at improving the lives of reformed poachers and communities around Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park through provision of gorilla conservation incentives, supporting community enterprise development and livelihood based projects. Return to your hotel to freshen up and have lunch then later dinner and overnight.

DAY 7: REDROCKS INTER-CULTURAL EXCHANGE CENTER
After an early breakfast your day starts with a cultural village tour. This tour gives you a unique platform to understand the inside way of the Rwandan cultural and historical norms. As you listen to personal stories from different individuals in society, it’s like watching the world they have lived pass you by, but repulsing as people with smiles share anticipations of a better future and learning the important things and grasping the clear perspective of a nation transforming together. Arrive at Redrocks intercultural exchange center for lunch then later walk with your guide to the local Nkotsi market and shop for dinner which you will later help prepare and share; then later stay for the night.

DAY 8: DEPART FOR BWINDI NATIONAL PARK (UGANDA)
After breakfast, head to the local brew makers at the center where you'll discover the fascinating process of crafting traditional beer from bananas. If you're intrigued, you can join the women in extracting juice from the bananas and even enjoy a refreshing glass of fresh juice (optional). Learn how the juice undergoes fermentation, turning into alcohol with the addition of sorghum flour, and savor a glass of the local brew. In addition to brewing, the community also specializes in basket weaving, which helps support local families. Experience traditional Rwandan dance, drumming lessons, and pottery before checking out and heading to Ruhengeri for lunch. Afterward, drive to the Cyanika border for immigration procedures and continue to your hotel in Uganda for dinner and an overnight stay before Bwindi National Park.

DAY 9: GORILLA TRACKING ADVENTURE IN BWINDI NATIONAL PARK UGANDA
Today, after your fuel-filled breakfast, get yourself ready for an encounter with the Mountain Gorillas. Bwindi Impenetrable Forest boasts both Mountain Gorillas and Chimpanzees - the only forest in Africa which can make this claim in fact. It also hosts 5 different species of primate, one hundred and thirteen species of mammal, over two hundred butterflies and three hundred and sixty birds. Given the fact that gorilla tracking time is unpredictable, it is difficult to foresee how many hours you will actually hike. The escapade of tracking the gorillas in the superb ecosystem of the park will be passionate for the adventurers. It may take 2hrs up to 9 hours or more and you should be prepared to walk long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. “The excitement of seeing the gorillas makes it all worthwhile!” The briefing will be given on how to handle or behave with these gentle giants always. This is a fantastic and privileged experience to get near the Uganda gorillas. Later drive back to Cyanika border to clear with the immigration before reentering Rwanda and on to Kigali arriving at your hotel for dinner and overnight.

DAY 10: KIGALI CITY TOUR +DEPART
After breakfast, begin your day with a guided tour of Kigali, a city founded in 1907 by Dr. Richard Kandt, Rwanda's first colonial governor. Surrounded by rolling green hills, Kigali, renowned for its rolling hills, offers a rich mix of history and culture. During your visit, discover the bustling craft markets, reflect at the Gisozi Genocide Memorial, and explore the Kigali Museum. You’ll also enjoy some leisure time for shopping and soaking in the city’s charm before transferring to the airport for your departure flight.
