Since then, Winnie works for Amahoro Tours taking Gorilla Reservations, contacting clients and arranging tourist attractions. She also plans to study "Tourism" along the way. A French national, Isis developed a great interest in humanitarian and developmental issues in the developing world. A central part of her studies in law, political science and international relations focused on international humanitarian missions on the African continent. She further gained professional experience in the least developed countries in the context of the French-Asian development co-operation. Her work with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs in South-East Asia included the building up of partnerships with donor organisations as well as local and international legal institutions. During her visit to Rwanda in 2004 she discovered tourism's great potential to play a leading role in the poverty alleviation strategies in the Land of a Thousand Hills. Persuaded by the concepts of Amahoro Tours, she joined the team and now facilitates the company's work in a growing French-speaking market. |
